BOOK

About Orebić…

Before you go on reading, it’s good to know that Orebić is located on the northwestern side of the Pelješac peninsula, so if you are travelling from the mainland, the best way to get there is to take the ferry that connects Ploče and Trpanj, from where you can go to Orebić by car, taxi or bus. Also, it’s possible to take the new Pelješac bridge to get to the peninsula even faster.

Orebić is a relatively low-key destination, not as famous as some of the other Croatian coastal towns, but truly an ideal place for a relaxing holiday. Fantastic wines and gastronomy, centuries old history, and many opportunities for cycling, hiking, windsurfing are some of the things you can expect from it. But today we are going to focus on some of the most beautiful beaches in the area.

Trstenica Beach

Trstenica is a beach that has natural shade only on its western part, but you can seek protection under the many parasols that are available for rent. The sea is clean and shallow, and there is also a water park, so it’s suitable for families with children. Besides being the main beach of Orebić, it’s a favourite among tourists due to the terrain consisting of a mixture of sand and gravel. On the beach, there are also changing cabins, showers, as well as the possibility of renting pedal boats, boats, and jet skis. If you get hungry, a brief 5 minute walk will take you to the first restaurant, so that’s definitely a bonus.

Mokalo Beach

Mokalo is located four kilometres east of Orebić on the southern side of Pelješac, along the Pelješka road. It is surrounded by vineyards and a lush pine forest. This beautiful sandy beach has always been attractive as it offers a truly unforgettable Dalmatian atmosphere. The beach is loved by both parents and children because of the natural shade. Not far from the beach there is a cafe and a restaurant. Vala Mokalo is far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life so nothing can spoil your day.

Zamošće Beach

Zamošće Beach is located in Kučište on the Pelješac Riviera. This pebble beach is a true wind-surfing paradise, especially for those who are just getting started with this sport. This beach isn’t as crowded as most, so wave riders will be able to freely enjoy their favourite sport. There are changing rooms, showers, equipment rental, wind, and kitesurfing schools you can choose from. Zamošće Beach is highly recommended for all those who want to take a break from their everyday routine.

Podobuče Beach

Podobuče is a small romantic village on the southern coast of the peninsula, formed around a picturesque pebble beach. In addition to the beautiful beach in the centre of town, there are other smaller and more private sunbathing and swimming opportunities in the immediate vicinity. The sea is very clean, suitable for swimming and all water sports. Podobuče Beach is an undiscovered jewel so we definitely recommend you give it a shot! It’s in perfect harmony with nature, so put it on your bucket list if you’re in search of some peace and quiet. It has a changing room, a shower, and a tavern nearby.

Česminova Bay

This isolated beach will be especially interesting for those who like rocks and gravel. It is located 2.5 kilometres from Lovište, and since it has good anchorage locations, it is usually visited by numerous boats. Thanks to the clear sea, Česminova is also quite popular among divers. It is perfect for small children but make sure to bring something to eat and drink, since there are no restaurants nearby.
